Music Player

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 7, 2026

The short version: Music Player stores your library and preferences primarily on your device. If you purchase iCloud Sync, selected library information is also stored in your private iCloud database. The App uses third-party services to provide music search and playback, advertising, analytics, diagnostics, remote configuration, and purchases.

This policy explains what information is handled, why it is used, when it is shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

Music Player (the “App”) is operated by Satish Maleku (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to the App, its related support communications, and this privacy-policy webpage.

The App does not require you to provide a name, email address, or traditional user account to listen to music. Some providers may nevertheless process device, network, usage, purchase, or diagnostic information as described below.

2. Information Handled by the App

Category Examples How it is used
Library and app data Favorites, playlist names and contents, recently played tracks, recent searches, playback settings, preferred region, appearance choices, and feature-entitlement flags. To provide your library, personalize the App on your device, remember settings, and restore unlocked features.
Search and media requests Search terms, autocomplete text, video and playlist identifiers, track titles, artist names, thumbnail requests, and playback requests. To return search suggestions and results, display media information, and stream the content you select.
Device, network, and advertising data IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, device and operating-system information, app version, advertising identifier when authorized, consent status, ad impressions, clicks, and interactions. To deliver, limit, personalize where permitted, measure, secure, and troubleshoot advertising.
Usage and diagnostics App interactions, installation identifiers, anonymous Firebase identifier, session information, crash reports, performance information, and technical logs. To operate the App, retrieve its catalog and configuration, understand feature performance, prevent abuse, and diagnose crashes or errors.
Purchase information Product identifier, displayed localized price, purchase or restoration result, transaction state, and unlocked entitlement. To show available products, complete or restore purchases, unlock features, and measure purchase-screen activity.
Support communications Your email address and message if you contact us, plus app version, device model, and iOS version included in the App’s feedback template. To respond to support, privacy, and troubleshooting requests.

Information stored locally

Your playlists, favorites, recently played history, recent searches, preferences, and local entitlement flags are stored on your device using the App’s local database and system preferences. We do not routinely receive the contents of this local storage.

Optional iCloud Sync and backup files

If you purchase and use iCloud Sync, the App stores a library snapshot in your private Apple CloudKit database. The snapshot can contain track identifiers, titles, artists, favorite dates, playlist names, playlist track identifiers, creation and modification dates, and records needed to synchronize deletions. It does not contain actual audio files or playable stream URLs.

Private CloudKit data belongs to the signed-in iCloud user, counts against that user’s iCloud storage, and is private by default. Apple processes this information under its own terms and privacy policy. If you manually export a backup file, you control where that copy is saved or shared.

In-app purchases

The App offers non-consumable purchases for ad-free listening, iCloud Sync, or a bundle of those features. Purchases and restorations are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your Apple Account and payment credentials. We do not receive or store your payment-card number, bank details, or billing address.

The App receives product and transaction status from Apple and stores local flags showing which features are unlocked. Firebase Analytics may receive events indicating that a purchase screen was viewed, a product identifier and displayed price, or that a purchase or restoration succeeded. Purchase terms are governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement and applicable App Store terms.

3. Advertising and Your Choices

The free version of the App uses AppLovin MAX and may use Meta Audience Network, InMobi, and Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) to show advertisements. These providers may process device and app information, IP-derived approximate location, advertising identifiers, consent signals, and ad interactions. Depending on your region and choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Advertising providers may process or share information for targeted advertising where allowed by law and by your consent or device settings.

4. Firebase, Google, and YouTube

The App uses Firebase services, including anonymous authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, and Messaging. These services may process an anonymous account or installation identifier, IP address, device and app information, usage events, crash diagnostics, and notification tokens. Firestore provides charts, releases, artist data, playlists, and remote configuration used by the App.

Search terms, autocomplete text, video or playlist identifiers, and playback requests are sent to Google and YouTube services when you use the relevant features. Google may process this information together with network and device information under its own policy, including when you use Google services without signing in.

5. Why We Use Information

We and our providers use information only as reasonably necessary to:

6. When Information Is Shared

Information is shared with service providers only as needed for the functions described in this policy. Those providers process information under their own privacy policies and applicable contractual terms. We use providers whose terms require protections intended to be consistent with this policy and applicable law.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, enforceable government requests, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or security issues, or protect our rights. If the App or its operations are transferred, relevant information may be transferred subject to this policy and applicable law.

7. Retention and Deletion

To ask about access, correction, deletion, or consent withdrawal, contact us using the address below. Because the App does not use a traditional account, we may be unable to identify provider-held information without an identifier or additional details, and some requests may need to be directed to the relevant provider.

8. Security and International Processing

We use platform security features and encrypted network connections where supported. CloudKit protects private data through the user’s Apple Account and Apple’s security controls. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Third-party providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, including the United States. Their privacy policies describe their safeguards and processing locations.

9. Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App or a support request, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

10. External Links

The App may link to YouTube, App Store pages, or other external services. We do not control those services, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the App, its providers, or applicable requirements change. The revised policy will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Material changes may also be highlighted in the App when appropriate.
